It’s September in Massachusetts. And that means apple season. I decided I couldn’t resist some local apples and looked up some apple recipes. I found a super simple one for apple cobbler. Here is how I did it.
Cut up three apples. The recipe suggests Granny Smith, but I used McIntosh. It worked fine.
For the cobbler part, use half a cup of flour, half a cup of sugar, one egg, and one teaspoon of cinnamon. You have to stir this (I just used my hand) til it has the consistency of wettish oatmeal.
Here are all the apples cut up. I cut each one into sixteen little slices.
Then you lay down the apples in a dish and spread the cobbler stuff over it.
Next, pour a half cup (one stick) of melted butter over the top. This is important, or your cobbler will be too healthy.
Put it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. That’s it! Delicious cobbler.
The recipe suggests using vanilla ice cream and caramel. I decided to use Dulce de Leche ice cream.
I recommend making this. Super simple and very rewarding. I would actually suggest using more than three apples. Four would probably do the trick. Unless you like the cobbler to apple ratio to be 3:2.

Wow. This looks so good! Haha. Even with ice cream. Ugh, yum.
Uh oh. Do you not like ice cream?
